coke, pop, soda?

Growing up in Lousiana I took it for granted that everyone called softdrinks "coke". For instance 1st person ask's "Would you like a coke?" the 2nd person say's "Yes" 1st person responds "What kind? We have Sprite and Dr. Pepper.". I have found this not to be true everywhere. Other areas of the country refer to softdrinks as pop and or soda. Even more bizare someone took the time to make a map to show the prefered name for carbonated beverages in all states of the U.S., broken up into county's/parishes. Check it out.

My First Entry

Well I finally did it. I created my first webpage. Well technically this is my first published webpage that I have openly told others about. All it took was a Friday night with nothing (I wanted) to do. This should be interesting. Later
