Back to Washington

My month long trip to Lousiana ends tomorrow. It's been a good time visiting old friends and seeing God provide in ways I was not expecting. It's seems like He specialices in hitting things at you from left feild. My monthly support has more than doubled based on those who have made commitments, but there are still four people who said that they will give but have'nt given a amount yet. God's good :).  Anyways, I fly out tomoorrow at 11:15 and I am looking forward to a week and a half of vacation, nothing is required of Greg Davis time. First I plan on taking the couple who sitted my car out to dinner then The next day I plan to go to a day of Creation, a christian lalapalooza type thing, and after that I want to do some serious camping and mountain biking and start loosing the weight I've put on this last semmester. So as a way of starting that and putting my goals on paper, I want to lose 25lb.s by Christmas. I'll keep everyone posted of my progress via Blog. My current wieght is a little over 230.

Weekend

It's been a great weekend. It started off friday night when I headed over to Lafayette to hang out with two old friends of mine Kurt Petrey and John Rockweiler. We went to go see the movie "Spiderman 2" which gets two thumbs way up from me; great special effects, good story line, and faithful to the comic book. Afterwards we went back to Johns apartment and just clowned the rest of the night. I got home at 4:45am, the really amazing thing was that my parents were already awake! I told them good morning and went to bed. hah. Then today I got to go to my old church and catch up with alot of old friends plus gert free food it was a good time. On a slight bummer of a note, I finally got my replacement cell phone, plugged it in and it did'nt work. oh the humanity. So I need to wait another three to five days till I get one that works...hopefully. Anyways so everyone should be able to contact me at that number again soon. If you need that number just e-mail me and I'll give it to you. Oh yeah to end on a high note my Dad went all out today and smoked pork ribs all day. I just finnished eating and they were awesome. I think I committed the sin of gluttony but I'll repent later :).

Rain

I've been in south LA for almost two weeks and it has rained every day since I have been here. It's crazy the ground is totally saturated. Other than that things have been going well so far. My Dad grilled steaks tonight and tomorrow I will be going to see spider-man 2 and catch up with some old friends. It should be fun.
