The rest of the Thai experiece

Well I've been back in the U.S. for about two weeks so I guess it's time I should update. The rest of the trip was incredible. We spent the first few days in Bangkok meeting with the missionaries and getting oriented to some of the ins and outs of Thai culture . We spent an evening in a slum area doing a program with the children there. We spent the next day traveling to the south ( a twelve hour trip). I was really impressed with their road system, I wasn't expecting much, but there highway system was as good as the U.S.'s. Their driving on the highways was a different story,to quote Dennis one of the missionaries who helped drive us " there are no rules, only suggestions". Eventually you stopped looking out the window . We arrived in one piece and spent the next week or so traveling to small towns and villages visiting schools, village leaders, and a few churches. Our last big project for the trip was a camp for Kids who lost one or both parents in the Tsunami late last year. I really enjoyed this part of the trip but I was only able to spend one day at the camp and I didn't get to see rest of the team again until I checked out of Bumrungrad Hospital the day before we left. It was a very memorable experience to say the least. I'll be putting up pictures soon.
