Jesus and Origami

So a student friend and I went out today to do what we call contact (i.e. talking with people about God and Jesus in non confrontive and conversational fassion.) I must say that we had a great conversation and were really connecting with this guy who we will call Bob. On a side tangent we started talking about a certain education class, my friend on a whim decided to demonstrate something he learned in this class and tore a sqare out of the paper "Bob" was reading and tried to make a box out of it, after about 5 minutes he gave up and threw it across the table. It was one of the funniest and most random things I've seen in a while, and thats saying alot. "Bob" thought it was funny to in case you were curious:)

New Orleans

I just realized that I haven't anounced on my blog yet that I'm leading a team of students to New Orleans this spring break. Above is a picture of me and the team. We will be doing basic releif work mainly by assisting with cleanup and basic repairs in private residences. A two year Christian college, The School Of Urban Missions, will be hosting us and directing our relief efforts. We'll be there from March 11th to March 18th.

How did we get there?

Every Tuesday morning campus pastors from many of the groups here at WSU get together and pray for the campus, our groups, and for each other. This morning was a usual get together we shared with each other and prayed for about 30 minutes. Afterwards we got into a conversation as we usually do but I was just blown away by our path of conversation. In less than ten minutes we went from talking about what we had for dinner as children to bizare automobile accidents one involving decapitated deer head. The crazy thing the flow of conversation made total sense.

new site, superbowl

The superbowl wasn't to bad this year. Overall good commercials and the hawks at least made a showing despite some bad calls and mistakes. I attended a party at a friends house and ate resonably large amount of junk food. All in all a good evening.
So on my last post I shared my quest for an online Personal Information Manager (PIM) that I could sink with my clie(handheld) and/or palm desktop. Well Yahoo intellisink was the best I could find already setup but I couldn't get it to work. So I decided to set up my own site using a free web host, webcalender, and maybe one or two other web apps. I'm about 75% done with the process. It's not as bad as I thought.

Cool Site and other stuff

Wow time slips by. I can't beleive it's been two weeks since my last post.
I found a great resource for webmasters or wanna be's like me. http://www.oswd.org/ It has a buch of quality free website templates for almost any type of site that you could want to put together.
I ran across it while I was searching freeware to use on my pda. Specifically I'm trying to find some way that I can sync my Clie with a calendar I can access online. The only two options I can see is buying some space on the net and setting up icalendar or using yahoo. Only thing about yahoo is that I would rather avoid getting yet another email address. And I'm a little gunshy about icalendar just because I've never set something like that up before.
